Pigeon Bay Strategies Participates in The Defence Shift

Pigeon Bay Strategies served as a Community Partner Sponsor at The Defence Shift in Windsor-Essex, hearing from Defence Minister David McGuinty and Senator Sandra Pupatello on Canada's defence priorities and the opportunities ahead for local industry.

On June 29, Pigeon Bay Strategies was proud to participate as a Community Partner Sponsor of The Defence Shift, hosted by the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA).

The event brought together government leaders, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, manufacturers, technology companies, and industry partners to discuss the future of Canada's defence industrial base and the opportunities ahead for Canadian businesses.

As a Community Partner Sponsor, Pigeon Bay Strategies was pleased to support an event focused on strengthening Canada's defence ecosystem and highlighting the capabilities of Windsor-Essex companies.

The day provided an excellent opportunity to connect with business leaders, engage with companies exploring defence market opportunities, and hear remarks from The Honourable David McGuinty, Canada's Minister of National Defence, on Canada's evolving defence priorities and the critical role Canadian industry will play in meeting future capability requirements.

We were also pleased to spend time with The Honourable Sandra Pupatello, Senator for Ontario, whose leadership was instrumental in bringing The Defence Shift to Windsor. A longstanding advocate for Windsor-Essex manufacturing and economic development, Senator Pupatello continues to champion initiatives that connect local companies with opportunities in Canada's growing defence sector.

Events like The Defence Shift reinforce the importance of collaboration between government and industry as Canada continues to strengthen its defence industrial base. Through the Defence Readiness Operating System™ (DROS™), Pigeon Bay Strategies helps companies prepare for defence opportunities by improving market readiness, strengthening positioning, navigating compliance requirements, and supporting long-term growth.

We extend our thanks to the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce, CTMA, the event organizers, speakers, and everyone who contributed to a successful day. We look forward to continuing to support Canadian companies as they build new capabilities and pursue opportunities within Canada's defence and aerospace sectors.
